Jax Beach’s Split Tone will return this Friday, June 13 to Local Heros, 18 Saint George St., downtown St. Augustine. Its Reggae versus Hip Hop as resident DJ HU of Classic Blends spins between sets and closes the night. The show will be from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Split Tone is an independent band that hails from Jacksonville Beach, creating a vibrant blend of reggae, hip-hop, soul and rock. Drawing from a plethora of musical and cultural influences, the band has created an innovative sound that has taken Florida’s first coast by storm.

Split Tone’s brassy vibrations, hip-hop swagger, vigorous stage show and socially-charged themes provide a welcome detour from the technical, riff-oriented styles of pop-punk that pollute today’s radio airwaves.

During the event, two tickets will be given away to the Rebelution show on June 27 at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. The prize package also will include a ride with Split Tone in a huge Cadillac Limo courtesy of Good Times Limousine Service.
