March 28, the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences held its 16th annual 5K Health and Fun Fair. Nearly 200 people completed the 5K, which raised more than $2,500 for the nonprofit Good Samaritans Health Centers Wildflower Clinic, which provides medical and dental care to qualifying St. Johns County residents.

The race was won by faculty member and two-time American Ninja Warrior contestant Dr. Todd Bourgeois. He raced in a Spiderman costume! The top female racer was student Monica Delizo. All of the race results can be found here: http://www.racesmith.com/results/2015results/USA5K032815ag.html.

University of St. Augustine students provided post-race medical treatment, including stretching and blister treatment. The free health and fun fair following the race included Flagler Family Medicine providing protein drinks, blood pressure checks and health information; First Coast Technical College massage students offering free massages; ice cream courtesy of Cold Cow; chicken nuggets courtesy of Chick-fil-A; and smoothies by Smoothie King.
