Limelight Theatre will offer new choices for high school and middle school students this summer, including a High School Audition Camp, a Broadway Boot Camp and a week of workshops that will include stage combat and stage management. For the elementary school age children, Jungle Book Kids and Camp Limelight is available. See descriptions below.

June 30-July 3: For high school age students, this camp runs from 1 to 4 p.m. each day (four days) at Limelight Theatre. Want to learn how to nail your next audition? This workshop is going to focus on learning the basic skills required for confidently auditioning and performing at your best! We will address monologue auditions as well as “cold” readings. Please bring a monologue you are interested in working on to the camp. In the last hour of class on Thursday, you will have a mock audition in front of Limelight Executive Director Beth Lambert! Cost is $75. Call 904-825-1164 to register.

July 7-18: This 2-week camp is for middle and high school students from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Have you got what it takes to be a triple threat? In this camp we will work on honing your singing, dancing, and performance skills using musical theatre repertoire. Each student will work on a solo piece in addition to the big group number! You will emerge from this class with a 16-bar audition cut, as well as rehearsal of the entire song for performance. This camp is limited to 15 students. Cost is $200. Call 904-825-1164 to register.

July 21-25: Students can take individual workshops only, or opt to take three or more for a package deal! Middle school workshops are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and high school camps are from 1 to 4 p.m. Cost is $25 per workshop for single courses; $20 per workshop for three or more. Call 904-825-1164 to register.
