HAWKE announces the 22nd annual Dine on the Wild Side Fund-raiser  at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm May 14. This popular event is sponsored each year by the Alligator Farm Zoological Park (www.alligatorfarm.com). It benefits injured and orphaned wildlife in Northeast Florida.

There is another  option this year as an event /no dinner ticket.  Cost is $25 for ages 12 & up  and  $10 for kids ages  5 to 11  and ages 4 & under are free .  An advance ticket for this event includes an all-day, come-and-go pass to the park. See all the shows and  exhibits then experience HAWKE’s exclusive use of the entire park from 5. until 9 p.m. Enjoy a guided tour of the bird rookery from the boardwalk and view thousands of wading birds, herons, egrets and  endangered wood storks and roseate spoonbills, in all stages of life, from courtship to nesting. Be sure to bring your camera for unique photo opportunities. It is a real experience hearing the gators roar and the birds interact , Its like going back in time and seeing how Florida looked before man. Beer  and wine can be purchased at the snack  bar .  AT THE DOOR PRICE IS  $30 age 12 & up   and kids $10

A  lower dinner price dinner ticket  this year ( no BBQ ) $35 for ages 12 & up  $20 ages 5 to 11 and ages 4 & under free ( but they must share a meal no plate) Dinner tickets include all of the above , plus all of the following :  some meat & also veggie pasta dishes from Ned’s Southside Kitchen (http://www.nedssouthside.com), veggie/stir fry  and  a  pasta meat dish from Gypsy Cab (http://www.gypsycab.com/), and salads from The Black Molly Grill (http://theblackmollygrill.com). HAWKE is a 501 3 not for profit organizations that has been rehabilitating injured and orphaned  wild birds mammals and reptiles since 1987.  There is no state or federal funding for wildlife rehabilitation. They have excellent hurricane protected  facilites  and  can care for difficult wildlife such as  eagles, otters , bobcats ,swallow tailed kites, falcons and more.
