HAWKE announces the 22nd annualÂ Dine on the Wild SideÂ Fund-raiserÂ at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm May 14. This popular event is sponsored each year by the Alligator Farm Zoological ParkÂ (www.alligatorfarm.com). It benefits injured and orphaned wildlife in Northeast Florida.
There is another Â option this year as an event /no dinner ticket. Â Cost is $25 for ages 12 & up Â and Â $10 for kids ages Â 5 to 11Â Â and ages 4 & under are freeÂ . Â An advance ticket for this event includes an all-day, come-and-go pass to the park. See all the shows and Â exhibits then experience HAWKE’s exclusive use of the entire park from 5. until 9 p.m. Enjoy a guided tour of the bird rookery from the boardwalk and view thousands of wading birds, herons, egrets and Â endangered wood storks and roseate spoonbills, in all stages of life, from courtship to nesting. Be sure to bring your camera for unique photo opportunities. It is a real experience hearing the gators roar and the birds interact , Its like going back in time and seeing how Florida looked before man. Beer Â and wine can be purchased at the snackÂ Â bar .
