ST. JOHNS, FL – Save the date because local charitable organization St. Johns CARES (formerly JCP CARES) is planning Dog Day Afternoon 2015 on Sunday, March 29 promising another fantastic afternoon of furry and family fun.Â The event will run from noon to 4 p.m. at Plantation Park, 875 Davis Pond Blvd., Julington Creek Plantation.
The fundraiser will host dogs and their owners as they enjoy the popular canine obstacle course, dog washes, â€œpet-i-curesâ€ (nail trims), pet adoptions, photographs and Â special demonstrations. Human friends will enjoy food, baked goods, pet-specialty vendors and a bounce house. Tickets will be available on site for the various activities and food.
This year Aylaâ€™s Acres, a no-kill animal rescue in St. Johns County will be the recipient of proceeds generated from Dog Day Afternoon. To learn more about Aylaâ€™s Acres, go to www.aylasacres.org
Several local businesses such as Invisible Fence, Diamonds N the Ruff and Pet Supermarket will be joining the fun.Â
