ST. AUGUSTINE, FL — Clear Channel Outdoor has donated a billboard to the St. Augustine Humane Society.

The 12-foot by 48-foot billboard appears on I-95 one-half mile south of County Road 210 for one month. The signage will promote the Humane Society’s fourth annual pet calendar  fundraising program which is designed for pet owners to participate in an annual photo contest for a feature in the 2015 calendar.

Billboard artwork and the Pin Up Paws calendar design was created as a donation by local artist Maribel Angel.

The “Hot Pets and Hunky Heroes” calendar will feature pets alongside heroes from St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, St. Johns County Fire and Rescue, St. Augustine Beach Police, St. Augustine Fire Department, St. Johns County Animal Control, and Flagler Hospital. Winners will receive a professional photo session with local, renowned photographer Addison Fitzgerald to be featured in the calendar.

The effort supports the non-profit’s mission to eliminate the need to relinquish pets to shelters through a wide variety of services and programs.

For more information and entries, visit the website at www.pinuppaws.com.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the calendar.  Each calendar month will feature a professional photograph of a local pet and hero, as well as two spaces for a business logo and sponsorship recognition.  Sponsorships begin at $100 with the opportunity to pre-purchase calendars at half price and the business logo will also be included on the Humane Society’s website.

The tax-deductible donations may be made through a secure online payment system or by sending a check to: St. Augustine Humane Society, Calendar Photo Fundraiser, P.O. Box 133, St. Augustine, FL 32085. Submission into the photo contest must be completed online by midnight  Aug.  21.  The online voting period ends at 9 pm Aug.  23.
