On Friday, May 13th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. join the University of Florida IFAS Extension St. Johns County for a Farm to Table meal and program on agricultural sustainability and awareness at the St. Johns County Agricultural Center . The festivities are planned to celebrate the county’s plentiful harvest.
Chef David Bearl (Local Food Systems Analyst and Culinary Educator), Joanne Cooper, extension staff and Family and Consumer Science volunteers will host a luncheon featuring foods prepared with local harvest.Â Included in the luncheon will be fresh and local fruits and vegetables. Cost is $20 per person including lunch.Â Reserve and prepay by calling 209-0430 x4770 by 5 p.m. May 6. Please bring check, cash or money order to St. Johns County Extension Service, 3125 Agricultural Center Drive, St. Augustine. Make checks payable to: F.A.E.F. The first eight people who reserve, who want to help prepare the luncheon, will assist with learning and preparing the meals. The cost for this program is $40.
The program begins at 9am and ends at 11am May 13.
