Fireworks, live music, midway rides and more will be offered Feb. 24-26 during the 32nd Annual Cathedral Festival!
Music headliner the Red River Band performs each year, along with local musicians on the schedule throughout the three-day event.
Held on the grounds of the Mission Nombre de Dios, the fundraiser is one of the area’s largest festivals featuring rides, games, bingo, a silent auction and a fireworks spectacular show. Proceeds go to the private Cathedral Parish School and the Cathedral Parish Early Education Center.
A fireworks show will light up the sky at 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 over the water near the grounds.
A midway will feature dozens of thrill rides and other activities including live music, kids games, a treasure sale and more. The Knights of Columbus will offer bingo from 5 to 10 p.m. Feb. 24-25; and 5 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 26.
Food will include fair favorites, wine and beer, and the annual shrimp dinner from noon to 8 p.m. Feb. 26.
A silent auction will begin at noon Feb. 26, featuring vacation packages, gift baskets, gift certificates, sports memorabilia, art, jewelry and other items from area businesses and the community.
Parking is available in the Mission parking lot, and 500 parking spaces are available each day in the parking garage.
Hours are 5 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24; noon to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25; and noon to 9 p.m. Feb. 26. Admission is $5 for adults; $3 for children 11-17 and adults 65 and older; with free admission for active duty military and children 10 and younger.
