July 4: Celebrate 4th of July in St. Augustine with Fireworks Over the Matanzas t 9:30 p.m., one of the largest fireworks displays on the East Coast. The display takes place over the  historic Castillo de San Marcos and reflects in the waters of the Matanzas Bay. Live music begins at 6 p.m. in the Plaza de la Constitucion, between King Street and Cathedral Place, in downtown St. Augustine. Admission is FREE. July 4: The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum offers a view of the fireworks from the top of the tower on July 4. The event begins at 9 p.m. Guests are asked to arrive by 8:45 p.m. to check in. Space is limited.
