Inaugural Cat Show Feb. 27-28 In St. Augustine



More than 125 pedigreed and household pets will be featured Feb. 27and 28, when Ancient City Cat Club’s inaugural cat show is presented at the Solomon Calhoun Community Center, 1300 Duval St. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Theme is “Pirates of St. Augustine,” and the felines will be judged in each of six rings each day. A pirate re-enactor will be onsite both days.

Spectators are welcomed to talk to the cat owners, and photography of the cats in the rings is encouraged. Photography of cats in the benching area is at the discretion of each owner.

Admission is $6 for adults; $4, seniors; $3 students with ID; children over 6, $3; under 6 are free.

Vendors will sell cat-related items, a fundraising raffle is planned, and a local food truck will be available to purchase luncheon items.
