Fifth annual event set for March 13-15 at Francis Field

St. Augustine, FL â€” Traditional Irish music and dance will be on stage by Orlando-based Irish Echoes, part of the music lineup at the 5th Annual St. Augustine Celtic Music & Heritage Festival.
The three-day event is set for March 13-15 at Francis Field, 29 W. Castillo Drive, downtown St. Augustine, beginning with the Whisky Tasting on Friday evening, March 13. The St. Augustine St. Patrickâ€™s Day parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, part of the fun-filled weekend. Highland games, live music and a variety of entertainment also are the schedule.
Other internationally acclaimed Celtic bands on the main stage will include Albannach, Rathkeltair, Searson, the Dublin City Ramblers, Makem & Spain, and Poor Angus.
The Irish flute, penny whistle, fiddle, guitar, and quick tapping feet combine in a performance unlike anyÂ other by the five-member Irish Echoes.
Members include Sarah Costello, dancer, Irish flute, whistle, and bodhran; Jackie Voigt, Dancer and tambourine; Mychelle Carre, dancer and spoons; Micah Tappe, guitar; and Nick Kopf on fiddle.
Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 14 (right after the St. Patrick’s Day Parade); and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 15. The Whisky Tasting event begins at 7 p.m. Friday, March 13, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
Advance general admission tickets are $7, with VIP tickets for $45 special seating, restrooms, bar, T-shirt and other perks. Ticket prices will increase on March 1.
