St. Augustine attorney Joe Boles Jr. will be speaker for the June 9 Marketplace Luncheon meeting. The meeting, at the Holiday Inn and Suites, 1302 N. Ponce de Leon Blvd., begins with 11:30 a.m. networking, registration and fellowship. The program and speaker are at noon.

Boles, who served as mayor of St. Augustine for eight years, has resided in St. Augustine since 1967, moving here with his parents. He is a graduate of St. Augustine High School and the University of Florida and U of F Law School. He was admitted to practice in the fall of 1984. His areas of interest are elder law, asset protection, estates and trusts, as well as business law and family law. His office is located at the corner of Riberia and Saragossa streets.

Boles and his wife, Jane, are parents of seven children between them.

Boles is current president of the board of the Council on Aging, vice president of the St. Johns County Welfare Federation and serves on the Buckingham Smith and Rotary Club of St. Augustine boards. Through the years he has served on the boards or as president of the St. Augustine Art Association, Child Cancer Fund, Flagler Hospital and Flagler Foundation Board, and he was one of the founding board members of the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum.
