Joseph Joyner, Ph.D., superintendent of schools for St. Johns County, will be guest speaker July 10, when The Marketplace Christian Professional Resources Luncheon is held at Amici Restaurant, 1015 A1A South.
Registration/networking continues from 11:30 a.m. to noon, with luncheon/leadership lesson from noon to 1 p.m. The restaurant is located at the corner of A1A and State Road 312.

Joyner, who has served as superintendent of schools since July 1, 2003, is the third appointed superintendent for St. Johns County. Described as one of the most rapidly growing school districts in the state and nation, the St. Johns County School District is one of only 10 school districts in the state to earn an A for the past eight years.
Joyner began his educational career in 1977 as a teacher and coach in Alabama. From 1980-2003 he was employed by Orange County Public Schools in various administrative positions..
Joyner attended Florida State University on a football scholarship and holds masters and doctoral degrees from the University of Central Florida.
