From the Grand Bohemian Gallery

St. Augustine Mayor Joe Boles is exhibiting his paintings — a collection of acrylic on canvas — in the Grand Bohemian Gallery at the Casa Monica Hotel, 49 King St.

The opening reception is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1 during the First Friday Artwalk. The exhibit will be on display through Aug. 31. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

In the exhibition “Reflections of St. Augustine,” Mayor Boles captures timeless and beautiful scenes of St. Augustine in acrylic on canvas. He uses a representational, stylized approach and paints local historic landmarks.

Proceeds go to Home Again St. Johns, an organization benefiting the homeless in our city. The organization’s mission is to coordinate providers, government, individuals, community and faith-based organizations to resolve homelessness issues in St. Johns County. The goal is to create a solution that works here in our community.
