The Royal Family rules over the Easter Festival and represents the city at numerous functions at home and out of town. Length of service is one year. The Royal Trio portrays the ruling family in Spain in 1672. They were the ruling family when construction was begun on St. Augustine’s Castillo de San Marcos, now a national monument.
King Carlos: Heritage native 11 to 13 years of age, able to ride a horse in the Easter Parade.
Queen Mariana: Heritage native 37 to 45 years of age.
Princess Margarita Maria: Heritage native 16 to 20 years of age.
Letters of application must contain a photo of the person applying along with name, address, phone numbers and a full outline of the family heritage.
Anyone interested in participating in the Easter Festival, whether heritage native or not, is also invited to contact the three women to be part of the entourage, parade, ceremonies and planning activities for the year.
