The St. Johns County Center for the ArtsÂ Theatre Department at St. Augustine High School willÂ present two fall productions, John Pielmeierâ€™s classic dramaÂ Agnes of GodÂ andÂ 3 by Tenn, three short plays by Tennessee Williams.
Inspired by real events,Â Agnes of GodÂ chronicles the investigation of a court order psychologist after she arrives at a convent that has reported the death of an infant child on their grounds. Her determined search for the truth leads her to grapple with her own faith and understand that things are not always black and white.
Seniors Jessica James, Emily Onimus and Chelsea Hart-Cantabene take on the show’s only three roles.
3 By TennÂ is a combination of three short plays by southern playwriting great, Tennessee Williams.Â The three shows are small snap shots into the lives of three very different women.Â Willie, a young homeless youth, Dorothy, an uptight sales clerk, and a nameless young woman dealing with her alcoholic husband.
Cast includes Mya Horn, Chad Boyd, Trey Stripling, Scarlet Bress, Raquel Martin, Brent Davis, Danielle Dubois and Jack Girouard.
Agnes of GodÂ performances are 7 p.m. Nov. 19 and Nov. 21, and 2 p.m. Nov. 22.Â Â 3 By TennÂ performances are 7 p.m. Nov. 18 and Nov. 22, and 2 p.m. Nov. 21 in the school auditorium, 3205 Varella Ave, St. Augustine.
Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for general admission. Tickets can be purchased at the door prior to each performance.
