NIGHTS OF LIGHTS

Nov. 21-Jan. 31: Nights of Lights, which includes more than 2 million lights on City of St. Augustine buildings and businesses, continues through Jan. 31, 2016. The switched was flipped on Nov. 21, and the trolleys run Nov. 22 through the first week of January (see listings below).

HOLLY JOLLY HOLIDAY TROLLEY

Nov. 22-Jan. 3: Hope on the Holly Jolly Holiday Trolley to view the Nights of Lights. The trolleys depart from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 22 through Jan. 3 for a 30- minute tour of the oldest city. BIG RED CHRISTMAS TRAIN

Nov. 22-Jan. 5: All aboard Ripley’s Red Trains for an amazing “lightseeing” tour of the Oldest City, decked out with millions of white lights. All guests get a free pair of magic glasses guaranteed to make holiday magic appear before their very eyes. New this year: no-wait VIP tickets on Friday and Saturday nights that include a FREE carousel ride and allow guests to skip the lines and hop on the train at the time they reserved, and a winter carnival every Friday and Saturday night through Dec. 19 (SEE Winter Carnival details below). PRANCERS PUTT-PUTT (GOLF)

Nov. 22-Jan. 5: Nights of Lights ticket holders can play a round of mini golf for just a buck! The miniature golf course is located near the St. Augustine Municipal Marina, 111 Agenda Menendez. Tickets can be purchased at www.ripleys.com/redtrains

SANTA ON THE BLACK RAVEN PIRATE SHIP

Dec. 7-24: Join Santa aboard the Black Raven and sail with the jolly pirate crew in pursuit of Blackbeard and Captain Hook — thieves who have stolen Santa’s bag of toys! THE LIGHT OF CHRISTMAS

Dec. 18-25: A holiday spectacular is offered each Christmas season by Turning Point at Calvary Baptist Church, 3500 State Road 16. This year’s Light of Christmas schedule is Dec. 4-6, Dec. 11-13 and Dec. 18-25. Hours are 6 to 9 p.m. each night. Other highlights include hot chocolate, cookies and photos and hay rides available on the weekend dates, but not on Dec. 21-25. The yearly holiday treat is made possible through the volunteers of the church. For more information, call 904-829-9795.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER

Dec. 11-Jan. 3: The classic holiday story, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, comes to life on stage Dec. 11 through Jan. 3 at Limelight Theatre, 11 Old Mission Ave., uptown St. Augustine. Featuring more than 20 local actors and children, the story centers around a couple trying to produce a church Christmas pageant. They must cast the Herdman kids — the most inventively awful kids in history. You won’t believe the mayhem! Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday matinees. A Terrific Tuesday performances is Dec. 15 with two for $30 tickets. Regular ticket prices are $26 for adults, $24 for seniors, $20 for students and military; and a free child ticket (12 and younger) with each full price paid adult ticket. No shows on Dec. 24-25. UPTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT

Dec. 26: From 5 to 9 p.m. on the last Saturday of each month, extended shopping, live music, refreshments and new art exhibits are featured in galleries, antique stores and boutiques along San Marco Avenue in uptown St. Augustine, between Ripley’s Museum and the Mission Nombre de Dios. FREE admission and FREE parking (street side and at the Mission Nombre de Dios parking lot). VILLA ZORAYDA HOLIDAY TOURS

Dec. 27 and Dec. 30: See the historic Villa Zorayda in the glow of more than 100 calendars on this popular holiday tour of one of St. Augustine’s most iconic buildings, located at 83 King St. The Villa is beautifully decorated with a spectacular Christmas tree adorned in red and gold, the Zorayda’s colors, located center stage in the Court of Lions. Docents guide visitors on the 90-minute tours that begin at 6 p.m. Tour tickets are $15 for adults; $7 for ages 7-12; free for ages 4-6; not recommended for children 3 and under. FLAGLER COLLEGE HOLIDAY TOURS

Dec. 14-24, Dec. 30, Jan. 2-3: Historical tours of Flagler College’s Hotel Ponce de Leon will be expanding its tour schedule for the holidays, and will run on the hour beginning Monday, Dec. 14. The expanded schedule will last until Jan. 3, 2016. Tour times will be at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. and last approximately an hour. Tours depart from the main lobby (Rotunda) of the college located at 74 King Street. Tickets may be purchased at this location 20 minutes prior to each tour or at Flagler’s Legacy located at 59 St. George Street, open daily between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.  Pricing is $10 for adults, $1 for children under the age of 12, and free for St. Johns County residents with a valid ID. BEACH BLAST OFF

Dec. 31: Kick off 2016 in seaside style at the St. Johns County Ocean pier, 350 A1A Beach Blvd., St. Augustine Beach. FLAGLER COLLEGE NEW YEAR’S EVE GALA

Dec. 31: Ring in the New Year at the former Hotel Ponce de Leon with an evening of historic elegance — dining and dancing the night away. Flagler College’s New Year’s Eve Gala takes place in the Ponce de Leon Dining Hall from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at  74 King St., St. Augustine. Black tie or Black & White Masquerade attire is encouraged. The evening will include cocktail hour, dinner and dessert buffets, open bar, dancing, and a champagne toast at midnight. OLD TOWN ART SHOW

Jan 2-3: Greet 2016 at this juried art show featuring artists and craftsmen from St. Augustine and around the country. The event takes place at Francis Field, 29 W.
