Pesticide Certification Exam Set

The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Extension St. Johns County will hold a Pesticide License Certification Exam Day for Private Applicators, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A private applicator’s license is required for anyone who applies restricted use pesticides to produce agricultural commodities on property owned or rented by the applicator, or the applicator’s employer, such as farms, ranches, groves, nurseries, and gardens. Exam Day will be held at the Extension Center’s Wind Mitigation Building. The CORE and Private Applicator review sessions and examinations will be administered by Bonnie Wells, a doctor of plant medicine and commercial vegetable extension agent II with UF/IFAS Extension St. Johns County. A light breakfast will be provided. Lunch will be on your own from noon until 1 p.m. The cost for the program is $10. Cash or check payable to FAEFwill be accepted on site.
