The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Extension St. Johns County will hold a Pesticide License Certification Exam Day for Private Applicators, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A private applicatorâ€™s license is required for anyone who applies restricted use pesticides to produce agricultural commodities on property owned or rented by the applicator, or the applicatorâ€™s employer, such as farms, ranches, groves, nurseries, and gardens. Exam Day will be held at the Extension Centerâ€™s Wind Mitigation Building. The CORE and Private Applicator review sessions and examinations will be administered by Bonnie Wells, a doctor of plant medicine and commercial vegetable extension agent II with UF/IFAS Extension St. Johns County. A light breakfast will be provided. Lunch will be on your own from noon until 1 p.m. The cost for the program is $10. Cash or check payable to FAEFwill be accepted on site.
