St. Augustine, FL – The St. Johns Cultural Events Division and St. Johns Cultural Council introduce the inaugural Sing Out Loud Series, a St. Augustine Celebration of Songwriters, coming this November.

St. Augustine has long been a bastion for creative songwriting and artistic achievement. Talented local musicians perform throughout St. Augustine on a daily basis. As the years have passed, St. Augustine has also become a city of choice for nationally touring singer-songwriters — from Art Garfunkel to Bob Dylan.

This November, the St. Johns Cultural Events Division, in partnership with the St. Johns Cultural Council, will celebrate both local and national singer-songwriters by hosting the Sing Out Loud Series, a St. Augustine Celebration of Songwriters.

The Sing Out Loud Series, also known as The SOL Series, will highlight an eclectic group of award-winning national touring artists as well as some of the best local singer-songwriters that St. Augustine has to offer.

Five SOL Series concert events will be held at venues in the downtown St. Augustine area as well as the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.

Kicking off this annual celebration of songwriters will be rollicking Americana and Grand Old Opry favorites, The Black Lillies on Nov. 7 at the Colonial Quarter in downtown St. Augustine, followed by one of America’s most accomplished singer-songwriters Randy Newman on Nov. 9 at Flagler College’s Lewis Auditorium.

Exuberant Americana trio The Lone Bellow will then perform on Nov. 10 at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. The following weekend, the Local Honey Free Local Artist Showcase will be held on Nov. 14 at the Colonial Quarter and poignant story-tellers Justin Townes Earle with Cory Branan wrap up the SOL Series with a performance at the Colonial Quarter on Nov. 15.

Tickets for individual SOL Series performances are available now and can be purchased at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall Box Offices, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at (800) 745-3000. Go to www.staugamphitheatre.com or pvconcerthall.com for more details.
