Alice and Don Tossi marked their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 20, with a reception at the Nativity Catholic Church Parish Center, Longwood. More than 100 attended, including friends from Jacksonville and St. Augustine, and three  who served as  bridesmaids.

The former Alice Hahn and Donald Tossi, who now reside in Sanford, were married Feb. 19, 1966, in the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, the first wedding ceremony to be performed there following the renovations to the Cathedral in honor of St. Augustine’s 400th anniversary celebration. Their reception followed at what was one of the final events in the Ponce de Leon Hotel, now home of Flagler College.

Mrs. Tossi is the daughter of the late Parker and Marie Hahn. Hahn served as mayor of St. Augustine in the late 1950s, and Mrs. Hahn was longtime owner of Hahn’s Music Box, which, at its final location, was on St. George Street. The Hahns’ family home is now the Casa de Solana House on Aviles Street.

The Tossis are parents of three sons, Kevin, Craig and Raymond, and grandparents of six.

Their 50th anniversary celebration concluded Feb. 21 with a Blessing of the Marriage at the 11:30 a.m. Mass at Nativity Catholic Church.
