October 25: Trick or Treating on Saint George Street in downtown St. Augustine

Ancient City Tours announces the 15th Annual St. George Street Trick or Treating will take place Sunday, October 25, 2020. Children of all ages are welcome to participate! This FREE event is a much anticipated Halloween tradition in the Oldest City.

Ancient City Tours has once again coordinated with the over 300 boutiques, gift shops, bistros and shops on St. George Street, St, Augustine’s premier pedestrian mall, to hand out Halloween candy. This annual event will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2020 between the hours of 2:00pm and 5:00pm. Trick or treating is free to the public and participants are instructed to look for businesses that have orange and black balloons at their entryway. Children, their families, and well behaved, leashed dogs, are encouraged to be in Halloween costumes and take part in these festivities.

In years past, the St. George Street Trick or Treat stroll has been coupled with an Annual Costume Contest. This year, Ancient City Tours has opted to host a Virtual Halloween Costume Contest on their Facebook Page. This contest ends Friday, October 30, 2020. Official rules and instructions are on the featured post at Ancient City Tours Facebook page. Prizes For the costume contest have been updated as follows:  1st place – $75 VISA gift card, 2nd place – $50 VISA gift card and 3rd place – $25 VISA gift card.

Diane Lane, Owner and President of Ancient City Tours, shared that an Ancient City Tours photographer will be out on the street taking photos during the Trick or Treating on October 25, 2020. She shared that as an added BONUS these photos will automatically be entered into the Virtual Costume Contest. All Trick or Treaters and their families are encouraged to check the company’s Facebook page for their photos and to invite friends and family to vote on their behalf.
