Aug. 21-Oct. 2: Music & Art by the Sea continues at St. Augustine Beach

The US Navy Band performs on September 11

The fall season of Music & Art by the Sea promises to be the most entertaining stretch of shows in the 22 years of the free series that takes place every Wednesday at the St. Augustine Beach Pier Pavilion, 350 A1A BeachBlvd., St. Augustine Beach, Florida.

The fall series runs August 21-October 2 and features seven shows including three very special nights.

The Jamology Concert Stage will feature the US Navy PRIDE Popular Music Band on Wednesday, September 11. The evening will include a color guard and moment of silence to honor the lives lost in that tragic event.

On September 18, in a collaboration with the St Johns County Cultural Council, the LPT Latin Band will perform to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month. LPT is a 10-piece band, including a four-person horn section, a three-piece percussion section, bass, keyboards, and lead vocals. LPT has opened from Santana, Trombone Shorty and has performed all over the Southeast US at the Savannah Jazz Festival and Suwanee Rising. This high energy band will have everyone up and dancing!

The LPT Latin Band will perform on September 18.

The series will wrap up on Wednesday, October 2 with an All-Star Musicians Jam being led
again by Jim Stafford of Eclipse Recording Company. The jam will include members of several prominent local groups, members of the St Augustine Music Hall of Fame and a couple of surprise guests.

Music & Art by the Sea occurs on Wednesday evenings with a local art exhibition at The Art Studio at 3 PM, pavilion seating opens at 4 PM, food service from a local restaurant or food truck begins at 5 PM. Before the band plays, DJ Danimal is spinning great music beginning at 5:30 PM, and the concert runs from 7-9 p.m.

The St. Augustine Beach Civic Association reminds concertgoers that the easiest way to attend if you don’t live within walking distance is to ride the Old Town Connect Bus from St. Augustine Beach City Hall or Ron Parker Park. The ride is free thanks to Old Town Connect and the Live Wildy Foundation.
