EMMA Concert Associations celebrates 46th season in 2024-24

EMMA Concert Association celebrates 46th season of music and dance in 2024-25. Season subscriptions are available for $175 for all six concerts through July 31 at emmaconcerts.com 
 
Individual concerts tickets will go on sale on August 1. All concerts are held in Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College, 14 Granada St., downtown St. Augustine, Florida. Tickets include free parking at the St. Johns County Council on Aging, with a complimentary shuttle to and from the venue. Tickets and details at emmaconcerts.com

Los Angeles Guitar Quartet 

Sunday, September 15 at 2 p.m. ($30 individual tickets, $5 for students)

The Grammy Award-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet is comprised of four uniquely accomplished musicians bringing a new energy to the concert stage — with programs ranging from Bluegrass to Bach. The group consistently plays to sold-out houses world-wide. Their inventive, critically acclaimed transcriptions of concert masterworks provide a fresh look at the music of the past, while their interpretations of works from the contemporary and world-music realms continually break new ground. Programs including Latin, African, Far East, Irish, Folk and American Classics transport listeners around the world in a single concert experience.

Boston Brass Quintet 

Sunday, October 27 at 2 p.m. ($30 individual tickets, $5 for students)

Since 1986, Boston Brass has set out to establish a one-of-a-king musical experience, featuring colorful classical arrangements, burning jazz standards, and the best of original brass repertoire. Boston Brass treats audiences to a unique brand of musical entertainment that bridges the ocean of classical formality to delight regular concertgoers and newcomers alike with great music and boisterous fun. The quintet has played to audiences in all 50 U.S. states and more than 30 countries. 

Gainesville Orchestra Holiday Pops 

Tuesday, December 17 at 7:30 p.m. ($40 individual tickets, $5 for students)

An EMMA Concert Association holiday tradition, The Gainesville Orchestra will perform favorite holiday music. Based in Gainesville, Florida, the orchestra is led by Maestro Evans Haile, who is celebrating 20+ years as musical director and conductor. Guests to this traditional holiday pops concert are invited to sing along to well-loved tunes!

Czech National Philharmonic 

January 18, 2025 at 2 p.m. ($40 individual tickets, $5 for students)

Performing and continuously growing for 26 years, the CNSO has earned an enviable reputation among both Czech and Europe’s top symphonic ensembles. Renowned for its versatility, the orchestra annually presents a broad programme ranging from classical music concerts to contemporary genres, film scores, jazz and musicals.

Swan Lake by Dance Alive National Ballet

Saturday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. ($40 individual tickets, $5 for students)

The most beautiful ballet of all-time, Swan Lake is the story of a Prince whose fiancée has been transformed into a swan by the evil sorcerer, Von Rothbart. The stage is transformed into a world of beauty and artistry. Family friendly. Dance Alive National Ballet aspires to enrich humanity by sustaining a professional ballet company of the highest caliber which strives for excellence in the fields of artistic creativity, performance, education and community leadership.

Ocala Symphony Orchestra 

Saturday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. ($30 individual tickets. $5 for students)

The Ocala Symphony Orchestra is an all-professional orchestra, founded in 1975. Under the baton of Maestro Matthew Wardell, the OSO performs more than 20 concerts per year, in addition to public and private ensemble performances throughout the season.
