JODY PETRONELLA TAKES OVER THE AREPA LIFE FOOD TRUCK
Chef Pop Ups are the new normal at Marina Munch, a waterside food truck park at the English Landing Marina in St. Augustine, located at 509 S. Ponce de Leon Blvd.
Chef Jody Petronella will take over the Arepa Life food truck, featuring Italian food from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 26 at the Marina Munch food truck part in St. Augustine.
On Friday, June 26 from 4 to 9 p.m., Chef Jody Petronella will take over the Arepa Life food truck, serving an all-Italian menu that includes Arancini de pesto (fried polenta balls stuffed with basil and pesto and served with pesto dipping sauce); fried meatballs; and fettuccine with choice of sauce (Best-o Pesto, a basil-pingolli pesto finished with chopped herbs and pistachio OR Sugo Arrabbiata ala Utica, a deep, complex and spicy sauce from a roasted vegetable trinity, red wine, and tomato). For dessert, traditional or lemon cannoli.
Italian themed craft cocktails, beer and wine will be offered at the pop up and at other special events. The all-new special events Tiki Bar at Marina Munch is catered by Odd Birds Bar.
Chef pop ups began on May 22 with Sebastian Sikora, who took over the Arepa Life food truck and created a tasting menu from his family’s eatery, The Black Knight Deli.
Food trucks on the schedule this month include the African Love Kitchen, Arepa Life, El Mariachi Loko Jax, Funkadelic, Weenie Panini, Wingin’ It, Yamo Italian, Frozen Sweets Truck, Mister Softee and Global Island Treasures (retail vendor). See the schedule on Facebook.
