St. Augustine Ballet staged Peter Pan on Saturday, May 16 in Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College. With a cast of more than 40 student and professional dancers, the performance also included music recorded by local musician Carolyn Karger, and popular pirate re-enactor William Mayhem, who currently performs at the Colonial Quarter.
Cuban trained dancers, Margit Vargas Rodriguez and Daet Rodriguez, both studied ballet at the prestigious National Ballet School of Cuba in Havana and later danced with Cuba’s Ballet de Camaguey, and the Teatro Centro de Arte-Leon Febres Cordero in Ecuador.
Artistic director was Luis Abella, with set design by Rob O’Leary, and lighting by Carl Liberatore. All photos by Jule Abella Photography.
