May 12-13: Masters of Fire & Ice to feature the area’s top chefs, bartenders and pitmasters for Epic-Cure benefit at Asadolife

Pitmasters include Food Network Chopped Champion from December 2022, Merry Graham

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL – An ensemble cast of the finest chefs, bartenders and pitmasters join forces for the ULTIMATE live fire grilling & cocktail-making exhibition — Masters of Fire & Ice, a 2-day event May 12-13 at Asadolife, 173 Shipyard Way, St. Augustine. Tickets and details at asadolife.com

“This is our favorite event of the year. It is the passion of the participants that makes this event such an amazing culinary event,” said Nick & Christie Carrera, co-owners of Asadolife, which opened in 2022. This waterfront restaurant offers dinner and a show — the entertainment feature is watching food grilled to perfection on an outdoor asado,  a wood-burning Argentinian grill, built by Nick Carrera.

Asado-style whole lamb and pig roasts will be featured each night by the all-star, award-winning pitmasters. The female pitmasters, which include Chopped Champion Merry Graham, will present this special part of the event. “In the spirit of an Asado, this is where everyone comes together,” Christie Carrera explained.

ABOUT ASADOLIFE

St. Augustine residents and business owners Nick and Christie Carrera, along with chef partner Matthew Brown, partnered to open this experience in a brick and mortar building. Previously, they offered Sunday Asado pop-ups in the Lincolnville area of St. Augustine where Nick Carrera runs his Urban Asado, creating handcrafted Argentinian grills. Nick was featured on Cooking Channel’s “Man Fire Food” with host Roger Mooking on August 15, 2018. At the restaurant, Nick is the Asador, which means he maintains the fires.
