A world-class culinary and beverage celebration will take place on Florida’s Historic Coast, May 6-9, 2021 at the World Golf Hall of Fame. The St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival will be a showcase of culinary, beverage and culture that highlights celebrity guest chefs, local chefs, celebrity winemakers/proprietors, artisans, farmers, local craft spirits and beers, along with renowned wine, spirits and beer brands from around the globe. The inaugural festival offers a wide variety of events for all tastebuds and budgets, from wine dinners and tasting events, to master classes and more.
The World Golf Hall of Fame and the World Golf Village Renaissance Resort, St. Augustine are the host location sites for the 2021 festival, located 20 minutes north of historic downtown St. Augustine and the beaches. The festival is being made possible in part by a 2021 St. Johns County Tourist Development Grant.
The festival organizers look forward to bringing another top-tier culinary event to St. Augustine, as they manage several other major culinary festivals throughout the coastal southeast, including the Savannah Food & Wine Festival, Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife on Jekyll Island and the Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival. According to Jan Gourley, Founder/Director “We have always wanted to bring a culinary festival to North Florida, since we founded the Savannah Food & Wine Festival back in 2013, as 50% of the attendees for the Savannah F&W Festival come from the Jacksonville area. That festival has assisted in producing tremendous economic impact for Savannah during an off-peak time period for tourism. The caliber and quality of the St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival will create significant economic impact in new spending from visitors on Florida’s Historic Coast, from overnight stays and dining, to shopping and recreational activities. It will also assist in raising awareness for St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra Beach as destinations for return visits and heighten the significance of the flourishing local culinary and beverage scene.”
Early Bird advance discount tickets are on sale now, with up to 33% savings on some festival events, with limited ticket availability for a limited time. The festival will partner with several local, nonprofit organizations on various events. The World Golf Hall of Fame and Jan Stephenson’s Crossroads Foundation are the festival’s two primary 501(C)3 charity partners, with 100% of the live and silent auction proceeds from the festival benefiting the charities.
The St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival is a four-day food and drink festival, May 6-9, 2021 with most events taking place at the host location sites, the World Golf Hall of Fame and the Official Hotel partner, World Golf Village Renaissance St. Augustine Resort. A gourmet food lover’s experience with a six-course dinner, featuring three guest celebrity/James Beard Foundation award-winning chefs, including Maneet Chauhan, television personality and award-winning chef and author. Three outstanding local chefs, including Brian Whittington of Preserved Restaurant in St. Augustine and Michael Lugo of Michael’s St. Augustine, will each prepare a course as well.
