City Commission passes resolution mandating face coverings indoors
Order goes into effect 12:01am, Saturday, June 27
On Friday, June 26, in an emergency meeting called by City Manager John Regan, the City of St. Augustine City Commission passed a resolution mandating that face coverings be worn indoors and when social distancing is not possible. Citing recent spikes in COVID-19 cases in St. Johns County and the community’s increasing demand for action by city leadership, Resolution 2020-22 passed unanimously. City Manager John Regan also issued Administrative Order 2020-11 specifically authorizing the recommended requirements as set forth by the resolution.
The key points of the order mandate that all individuals shall wear face coverings when indoors and when social distancing is not possible. Also, businesses are encouraged to prohibit entry of individuals not wearing face coverings.

In addition, the city has created a window flyer (see attachment) for businesses to display in their establishments to aide with informing the public of the new policy.
