Peace Pie
Giant. Ice Cream. Sandwiches! Peach Pie offers huge ice cream sandwiches with a layer of pie filling, and delicious shortbread, chocolate, or graham cracker pie crust-like cookies. The best part? The ice cream is handmade, and there are more than 30 combinations to choose from — we tried three — the Triple Chocolate Brownie with chocolate ice cream, brownie pieces, chocolate mousse, all wedged between chocolate cookies; the Peanut Butter Chiffon, with chocolate ice cream, peanut butter chiffon filling, and shortbread cookies (I ate every last bite … that chiffon was decadent and delicious!); and the The New Classic with vanilla ice cream, vanilla AND chocolate mousse and chocolate cookies. The ice cream sandwiches are so large that they offer to cut them in half so that you can share with a friend or family member. And they have takeout containers created just for the ice cream sandwiches so that you can take your leftovers home and put them in the freezer for later!
The cute little shop on Aviles Street in the historic district of downtown St. Augustine is decorated with brightly-colored murals, and has stools, both tall and short, for seating.
