Red River Band

Pollard Hall Open HouseÂ
Aug. 22: Flagler College will opening its doors to unveil the latest addition to its campus — Pollard Hall, 31 Cordova St., downtown St. Augustine. Guests are welcome to check out the new academic building from 4:30 to 6 p.m. In addition to Pollard Hall, visitors can also tour the studios of the Flagler College radio station, WFCF, and meet on-air personalities and even record their own voices for audio broadcast. Guinness World Records attempt (ALS Ice Bucket Challenge)
Aug. 23: Guinness World Records® has confirmed that the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, to be held by Ripley’s Believe It or Not! St. Augustine Odditorium and Ripley’s Red Trains on Saturday, Aug. 23, will be a Guinness World Records Official Attempt. The event starts at 8:30 a.m. in the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! parking lot, located at 19 San Marco Ave. Parking will be available in the nearby parking garage or lots. Nutcracker ballet auditions

Seminole Indian Wars living history event

Historic Weapons Demonstrations
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays: National Parks Service personnel demonstrate the weapons and relate the experiences of the Colonial Spanish soldier stationed in St. Augustine in 1740′s. Demonstration times are 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. and 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Friday-Sunday. Firing times are subject to change depending on weather conditions and staff availability. The Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest masonry fortification in the U.S., was built by the Spanish in 1672 to help protect their empire in the New World. Admission is $7 for adults.
