Award-winning barbecue + country music = a fun weekend! The St. Augustine Sunrise Rotary Club brings it all together Oct. 15-17 during the 25th annual Rhythm & Ribs Festival at Francis Field, 25 West Castillo Drive, in downtown St. Augustine next to the parking garage.
Headliner Travis Tritt will be on stage from 8:15 to 10 p.m. Saturday, October 16, with other country music performers on the lineup, including Muscadine Bloodline, The Luke Langford Band, Jordan Fletcher, Walker Montgomery, One Good Ring, and local entertainers such as Davis and the Loose Cannons and the Carpetbaggers. “I’ve always tried to take all of the influences that I have, which are across all different genres. I love straight-ahead country. I love the old stuff, the great storytelling songs, songs that make you feel something with the lyrics that they are relatable,” said Travis Tritt.
“There’s the Southern rock influence that I’ve always tried to showcase in every album, the blues influence that I’ve had all my life, the old Southern gospel stuff, bluegrass, all of those different things.”
Tritt was born in 1963. The talented Georgia native and Grammy Award winner released his first album in 1990, signing with Warner Bros. Records in 1989. Tritt released a new album called Set in Stone on May 7 2021.
Organized each year by the St. Augustine Sunrise Rotary Club, all proceeds are donated to charitable organizations for local and international service oriented projects. More than $1 M has been raised and given to those charities over that past 24 years.
