An instant hit when it was produced Off Broadway in 1971, “Godspell” offers a variety of musical styles and theatrical formats to make the Gospel of St. Matthew accessible to today’s audiences. Its much-loved score includes the hits “Day by Day” and “Prepare Ye the Way.”
The production features students from Apex Theatre Studio Advanced Musical Theatre Workshop and professional teaching artist, Joshua Sewell, in the role of Jesus.
“The joy audiences experience at this show is like no other,” said Ian Mairs, Managing Director.
“We have produced it with regularity because it provides wonderful opportunities for young artists with an affinity for storytelling,” added Mairs.
